A Mezuzah Case with a Frustrating Surprise

I ordered hundreds of mezuzah cases from a manufacturer in China, and when they arrived… surprise. Every single case came with a “mezuzah” already inside.

When I asked the supplier why they included one, they told me, “Every case needs a mezuzah, this is how we fulfill all orders.”

The problem?

These “mezuzot” are absolutely not kosher — written by a non-Jew, printed on paper, full of pesulim, and even sheilot tinok level mistakes. It made me wonder:

Are there really that many sellers using these and selling them as kosher?

And if someone was going to print them… why not at least print something that looks nicer?

We ended up having to open every single case and remove them by hand.
